First update on AICP Certification Maintenance Program

This blog is designed to update the hundreds of planners who are concerned about the governance and structure of the American Institute of Certified Planners Certification Maintenance program.

At its semi-annual meeting on April 26, the AICP Commission considered, but did not take action on, a proposal to change the fee structure for the CM program. The proposed structure, which would cap costs to continuing education providers at $2,000 to $5,000, is a better structure than the current one. (It's better, but still not good enough, for reasons we'll discuss later)

Commissioners said they hope to come to a decision in a few weeks, after getting more input from APA chapters.
